I am very pleased to be with you today to open the new Oxygen For Life Centre.

Some years ago, when I started my term of office as the Executive Mayor of Mogale City, Mike and Laurice Matulovich had a small business, which they operated from their home here in Muldersdrift; and it is wonderful to see how that business has grown to warrant the opening of this large Centre.

It is very encouraging to see companies such as Oxygen For Life developing in our area, providing employment for our people, and contributing to the growth of our economy by exporting products to other countries. From a small start with Mike and Laurice, Oxygen For Life now has 28 employees, distributes products to over 500 main distributors in South Africa, and exports products to countries in Africa, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.

I am pleased to learn that your customer-contact point can handle calls in English, Afrikaans, isiZulu, isiXhosa and Sesotho. This shows that Oxygen for Life is responsive to customers using some of the main official languages in our country.

I was touched and encouraged after having read some of the personal experiences and accounts of people that have used Oxygen for Life products. The stories validate your product suite. For me, what is striking about this business is that it changes people's lives.

Last year, at the annual Business Achievers Of The Year Awards, Oxygen For Life received the Presidential Merit Award from Mogale Chamber of Commerce and Industry and we are very pleased today to have Mr John Olivier, the President of Mogale Chamber of Commerce and Industry with us at this celebration to witness how the President's award has spurred Oxygen For Life on to further successes.

Apart from their growing commercial interests, Oxygen For Life is also actively involved in assisting the underprivileged in our communities. Wonderful health care products are constantly being donated by Oxygen For Life to many Children's Homes to improve the quality of the lives of the many seriously ill and orphaned children.

We, at Mogale City Local Municipality are very pleased to have Oxygen For Life as a partner in our growing economic area. We view the business community as an important stakeholder in our area. Business and government can share valuable information and strategies in reaching our citizens and target market.

With these words, it is now my privilege to pronounce this Centre open.
