All the Rate payers within the Mogale City Local Municipality (MCLM) , are hereby notified that the Mogale City Local Municipality (MCLM) has embarked on the General valuation exercise on all rateable properties in line with the new Municipal Property Rates Act, No. 6 of 2004. This exercise started in August 2007 and will end on the 1st July 2009.

As such, DDP Valuers were appointed in August 2007 by MCLM to compile the Municipal valuation roll. The Valuers are currently in the field conducting physical inspections on all properties.

It is in light of the above that we request all property owners to allow the appointed valuers access to their properties in order to carry out the inspections. However, it is very important to note that entry must only be permitted on the properties upon production of an identity letter with an official logo of the Municipality. Furthermore, the letter must be signed by both parties ( MCLM and DDP Valuers respectively).
