Mogale City invites suppliers to register

03 August 2009

By Mogale City Reporter

FROM 1 October Mogale City Local Municipality (MCLM) will no longer do business with suppliers of goods or services who are not registered on the City’s new suppliers’ database.

According to Mogale City municipal manager, Dan Mashitisho the municipality will only do business with suppliers accredited and registered on the new database.

All service providers – both current and prospective - must fill in a Supply Chain Registration form and attach the required documentation. Application forms can be obtained from the Supply Chain Management unit in the Civic Centre, the SMME offices at the IEG Building across the Civic Centre, or from the Mogale City website.

The completed forms, with supportive documentation must be returned to the Supply Chain Management unit.

“The objective of MCLM, through this process, is to compile a comprehensive and up-to-date database of all suppliers per the various categories operating within the Mogale City area, the West Rand area, Gauteng Province as well as other areas,” he stipulated in a public notice.

The supplier database will be updated quarterly.
