REGULATION 32A of the National Road Traffic Act went live on 1 November 2015.

Anyone who wishes to transact with the Licensing Authority and E-natis, are compelled to provide the following:

Proof of address

• Any utility, clothing, cell phone, water and lights account not older than 3 months

• If the utility is not in the name of the applicant, an affidavit or affirmation declaring that the applicant is residing at the address

• Residents who reside at informal settlements or in rural areas require confirmation from the Ward Councillor

Identity

  • A valid SA ID book
  • A valid SA Driving license card
  • A valid SA Passport
  • A valid Traffic Register Certificate

For all driving license related applications, the applicant must be at the office in person

COLLECTION OF DRIVING LICENSE CARDS

1.    The driving license card can be collected at this office after 30 working days from date of application at the Motor Vehicle Registration Authority Section.
2.    Proof of acceptable identification will be required.
3.    Proof of acceptable identification will be required from a person authorised in writing to collect driver’s license card.

Motor vehicle license fees                -    will be calculated according the type and mass of the vehicle
Documents required:

•    Acceptable identification
•    License renewal notice or
•    Completed application form for renewal of motor vehicle license
