How to make a booking for a driver’s licence test

  • A pre-planned roster for testing officers is compiled.
  • Available slots are captured on the e-natis system.
  • Available slots are issued to applicants in the queue on a first-come-first-serve basis.
  • Queues inside premises are controlled by staff members and security officers.
  • Applicants who were unable to obtain a booking will be given application forms in accordance a pre-planned roster.
  • Once an applicant has obtained a booking, an eye test will be conducted and payment must be done.
  • If your learner’s licence is to expire within the month you must submit a written representation to the Manager:  Motor Vehicle & Driver Licensing and Registration, explaining the attempts you have made either to obtain a booking, or your the unsuccessful attempts at taking the test.

No information regarding motor vehicle owners or driver’s licence holder or a motor vehicle will be given out, except if accompanied by an official application form for the specific transaction. This must be submitted in person and an identity document or valid passport must be shown.
