Mogale City’s Department of Community Development Services hereby notifies its valued residents that the Kagiso Thusong Service Centre and Burgershoop Multi-Purpose Centre administration blocks will be temporarily closed for renovations starting 14 May 2018 for a period of four months.

While renovations are underway, the Burgershoop Community Hall will be closed to public use but the Burgershoop ECDC (Crèche) will continue to operate as normal.

The following offices situated at Kagiso Thusong Service Centre will be affected and therefore not operational:

  • Bokgoni Development
  • Dinaledi youth and well- being engagement
  • Azania Enterprise
  • FB Trading
  • Family and Marriage Society of South Africa (FAMSA)
  • Ulisimo
  • Kagiso TSC Aftercare
  • Kagiso Tourism Association
  • METS
  • Department of Home Affairs
  • Women’s Networking Forum
  • Mogale City Local Municipality’s Office of the Social worker and Indigent

It should further be noted that the department has arranged for the Kagiso Thusong Service Centre Aftercare to continue with its services from the Kagiso Early Childhood Development Centre (ECDC) premises located at the corner of Okatsha and Okavango Streets, while the Office of the Social Worker and Indigent Office will temporarily operate from Chief Mogale Community Hall in Kagiso.

For any Home Affairs related services, members of the public are encouraged to visit the Department of Home Affairs offices at the corner of Commissioner and Fountain Street in the Krugersdorp CBD.

Please take note that SASSA services in Block B will not be affected by the temporary closure.
