ogale City Local Municipality’s 2017 November Integrated Development Plan (IDP) Mayoral Roadshows were a huge success with scores of community members gathering in the different communities to be part of the municipality’s service delivery decision making processes.

Executive Mayor Councillor Patrick Lipudi together with his Mayoral Committee team, councilors and municipal employees embarked on a three weeks IDP roadshow to determine residents and stakeholders’ developmental needs and priorities in all the different wards across the city.

The IDP feedback and consultation meetings, which kick-started on 6 November 2017, sought to outline the municipality’s development strategies and priorities, give feedback on issues raised during consultative meetings held earlier this year, seek inputs and recommendation into the revision of the 2018/19 IDP and Budget and also give communities an opportunity to express service delivery challenges in their respective wards.

In his addresses, the executive mayor encouraged communities to work closely with their ward councillors and ward committees. He also inspired communities to be actively involved in all municipal programmes and projects that the city seeks to undertake.

We would like to thank all residents and stakeholders across various sectors who continue to play a pivotal role during these public participation meetings.
