The National Council of Provinces (NCOP) in collaboration with members of the Gauteng Provincial Legislature and some municipalities in Gauteng are conducting supervision visits in various service delivery sites in Gauteng from today, 18 September until Thursday, 20 September 2018.

The preliminary visits are aimed at preparing the ground for the main Taking Parliament to the People (TPTTP) programme expected to take place in November, later this year.

Under the theme “Impact of migration – Deepening cooperative governance for accelerated service delivery and development,” the visits will conclude in public meetings wherein residents will be afforded an opportunity to draw the attention of legislators to challenges faced in accessing services and delivery thereof.

The information acquired during the preliminary visit and public meetings will be compiled and submitted to executives in all three spheres of government for their interventions prior to the main TPTTP programme scheduled for November 2018.
