Mogale Licensing Centre to re-open on Friday, 3 July 2020
Contrary to an initial communiqué to re-open for operations on Thursday 2 July 2020, Mogale City Licensing Service Centre wishes to inform members of the public that it will only re-open its doors on Friday, 3 July 2020.
After an employee and security guard tested positive for Covid-19, the Licensing Centre was immediately closed for decontamination and deep-cleaning of the premises and other possibly affected areas.
After engaging the Department of Health, it is now confirmed that operations can only commence on Friday, 72 hours after closure in line with the department’s Covid-19 protocols.
The public is therefore advised to only visit our Licensing and Testing Centre from Friday, 3 July and in the interim use other operating licensing centres.
As also initially communicated, those whose learner and driving license tests, license renewals and professional driving permit have been impacted by the closures will be contacted to arrange alternative dates.

Licensing Centre temporarily closed after employee tests positive for Covid-19
Mogale City Licensing and Testing Centre has temporarily closed its doors today, 29 June 2020 after an employee and security guard tested positive for Covid-19. The temporary closure will allow for the decontamination and deep cleaning of the Licensing Centre and possible affected surrounding spaces.
Operations are expected to resume on Thursday, 2 July 2020 at possible reduced capacity as some employees may need to self-isolate. We therefore apologise in advance for the inconvenience and ask for the public to visit other operating Licensing Centres, whilst also being patient when visiting our facility through this difficult phase.
