Extension of Supplementary Valuation Roll inspection and lodging of objections

Notice of extension is hereby given in terms of Section 78(1) of the Local Government: Municipal Property Rates Act, 2004 (Act No.6 of 2004), hereinafter referred to as the โ€œActโ€, that the supplementary valuation roll for the financial year 1 July 2019 to 30 June 2020 is open for public inspection at Mogale City Local Municipality from 17 August 2020 to 30 November 2020.

ย Call for inspection of supplementary valuation roll and lodging of objectionsย 

Notice is hereby given in terms of Section 78(1) of the Local Government: Municipal Property Rates Act, 2004 (Act No.6 of 2004), hereinafter referred to as the โ€œActโ€ that the Supplementary Valuation Roll for the financial year, 1 July 2019 to 30 June 2020 is open for public inspection at Mogale City Local Municipality from 17 August 2020 to 5 October 2020. In addition, the Supplementary Valuation Roll and the objection forms are available on the website.

An invitation is hereby made in terms of Section 49(1)(a)(ii) read together with Section 78(2) of the Act that any owner of property or other person who so desires, should lodge an objection with the Municipal Manager in respect of any matter reflected in, or omitted from, the Supplementary Valuation Roll within the abovementioned period.

Attention is specifically drawn to the fact that in terms of Section 50(2) of the Act, an objection must be in relation to a specific individual property and not against the Supplementary Valuation Roll as such. The form for lodging an objection is obtainable at the following address:

The completed forms must be handed in at the same address before or on 5 October 2020 at 16h00pm for the attention of Ms C Kuhn.
