Mogale City Local Municipality is in the process of compiling Precinct Plans in the local areas of Muldersdrift, Magaliesburg, Hekpoort and Tarlton.

The precinct plans are spatial policy instruments of the municipality that will guide future development in the respective local areas by specifying development proposals, desired land use patterns and a public/private investment framework.

This precinct plans project was commissioned by the Gauteng Department of Agriculture, Land Reform and Rural Development on behalf of the municipality and Metroplan Town Planners & Urban Designers were appointed to undertake the assignment.

A project website (www.bit.ly/mogale) has been created to assist the public participation on the precinct plans by giving interested and affected stakeholders an opportunity to have a say, and help guide the future of these importantly identified local areas.

Through the project website, the public will be able to:

  • Download the full Draft Reports of each Precinct Plan
  • Find summaries of the development concepts and proposals for each Precinct
  • Submit comments using a Form and/or Interactive Map interface

A hard copy of the draft reports will also be available for inspection at Mogale City’s Planning Department and the following public locations:

  • Tarlton Library
  • Muldersdift Library
  • Hekpoort Library
  • Magaliesburg Library

The closing date for public comments is Monday, 30 November 2020.
