Over the last two weeks, we have been unpacking the array of online library services and e-resources Mogale libraries have created. This week’s focus is on the subscription to Britannica online. Mogale City Libraries in partnership with Gauteng Department of Sports Arts Culture and Recreation Provincial Library Services subscribed to Britannica online on behalf of Gauteng Public Libraries, Mogale City libraries included.
Britannica is a general knowledge English-language encyclopaedia that is published exclusively as an online encyclopaedia. It is one of the trusted information sources that library users can use for their research, learning, school projects, and general studies.
How to access Britannica online:
- You need to be a registered member of Mogale City Libraries
- Visit :http://library.eb.co.uk/storelibrarycard?id=mogalecitylmint
- Provide your membership number and choose a level to get started from junior, student or adult
- Enjoy getting information in a form of articles, images or videos and many others
Should you wish to join our libraries, membership is free. You are only required to bring a copy of your identity book or smart card and proof of residence. Membership of open to Mogale City residents and non-residents.
