Mogale City’s Waste Management Division wishes to apologise to residents and businesses affected by the non-provision of refuse removal services on Monday, 28 February and Tuesday, 1 March. The scheduled service was regrettably disrupted by a labour dispute which saw workers not reporting for duty on the said days. Management is urgently addressing this impasse.
It should also be noted that although normal refuse removal services resumed today, 2 March 2022, we regrettably must stick to our normal schedule for the remainder of the week to avoid further backlog and potential service disruption. This therefore means that areas not serviced on Monday and Tuesday will only be covered in the upcoming week and we urge affected residents to keep their refuse bins in their yards until next week.
